Physical Description Very slender and fairly fit. Although, she looks a little younger for her age, she simply aged well thanks to her upbringing on Edo, a world where it’s inhabitants run everywhere as opposed to walk. Zoey grew up with Edo’s and inherited their traits quickly due to the fact that she is full Betazoid. Her young, fit, lender physicality is a reflection of her upbringing.
Personality & Traits
General Overview
Very friendly, extremely loving, and happily outgoing. She tends to want to be in physical contact with most people that she converses with. In addition to that, she has all the traits of an Edo. You won’t see her walking anywhere unless she’s with someone else. She is very open about her personal life because there is no personal life for her, she’s outwardly open about anything involving her life.

History

Despite being abducted by the dominion at a young age, she doesn’t let it affect her personality at all. It was probably the fact that she was open and saw many average humanoid taboo’s as not a taboo at all. Because of this, her plight with the dominion was minimal psychologically and she worked with them to keep them from torturing her while allowing herself to be used for non-life-threatening experiments.

Shortly after the dominion war, she returned to Edo and found that her parents had both been killed in the war with the dominion. It took her months to recover from the shocking news, however, she was back to her happy and open self shortly afterward. Part of the overall impasse of her recent past, she decided to join Starfleet to learn about the universe and continue what she would have been studying on Edo, Astrophysics, as well as allow a special homage to her parents whom passed away to protect her, and her official home-world.

Born to a Starfleet family, Zoey had the ability to be brought up in diverse cultures. She spent most of her childhood on Edo, a peace-loving planet. Most her childhood friends and family friends are of the species Edo. She was still young when the Dominion invaded Betazed, at the time, she was on Betazed and her parents were far away fighting that very threat from the alpha quadrant. They subjected her to DNA tests that involved prolonging life span, influencing and harnessing her telepathic ability, cloning, and before Starfleet could retake Betazed, she was in the middle of a forcefully induced pregnancy. Although she did not give actual birth to the child, it was beamed from her womb and into a Jem’Hadar birthing chamber. Before the experiments could be completed, the Dominion retreated, leaving Zoey with Eris, her child. Eric was tested and assumed to be clinically insane and is held at a low security institution where she can visit him from time to time whenever she gets the ability to do so, however, Eris is very dangerous, and disturbed.

After the ordeal, she fled back to Edo to be with friends of the family until her parents could return from the war. It was at that time that her father was killed during a classified mission in the Gamma quadrant. Her mother was immediately dispatched under special circumstances in order to avoid turning Zoey into an orphan.

Unfortunately, her mother’s runabout was ambushed by one of the last of the fleeing dominion patrols. Zoey was adopted by her family friends as a result. She grew up on Edo during her upbringing. Since maturity levels of telepathic children are faster, she was able to join starfleet at an earlier date and she chose to do so because she felt that it would bring her closer to understanding her parents since she was denied their upbringing by a species that both killed her parents, and abducted her for genetic testing.

At the age of sixteen, she tested into Starfleet academy’s third year level. She would have graduated at seventeen if it were not for the fact that she ran into a spot of trouble with the Admiralty over her Edo qualities and being open. Officially she was charged with improper conduct, however, unofficially, she dumped the Admiral’s son after she caught a stray thought from him about how he just enjoyed her company for it’s various “Edo” pleasures; he obviously forgot that she was actually, in fact, a telepathic Betazoid.

Explaining the situation in detail to the admiral only served to pour fuel to the already sparking anger over both his shamed son, and the liberally open Betazoid. A hair inch away from being expelled from Starfleet Academy, it was decided that she could finish off the rest of her academy off-campus and in the field.
